Mr. Newton Cowan of Medicine Hat, beloved husband of Mrs. Lyn Cowan and father of Don Cowan, passed away on Tuesday, March 7, 2006 at the age of 65 years. Also left to cherish Newt¹s memory is his mother-in-law, Eleanor Townsend. He was predeceased by his parents, Esther and Walter as well as his father-in-law, Larry Townsend. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel on Friday, March 10, 2006 between 8:00 P.M. and 9:00 P.M. The Funeral Service will be held at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel, 901 - 13 Street S.W., Medicine Hat on Saturday, March 11, 2006, at 3:00 P.M. with Reverend David Paterson officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery. Those wishing to remember Newt may do so with a donation directly to the Helicopter Fund, care of the Medicine Hat Hospital, 666 - 5 Street S.W., Medicine Hat, Alberta, T1A 4H6. N
