Barry Campbell

1946 - 2009

Cook Southland Funeral Chapel - Campbell(2009)

Mr. Barry Wayne Campbell of Medicine Hat, Alberta, passed away on Thursday, May 14, 2009, at the age of 62 years. Barry was born on June 22, 1946 and was raised in Sudbury, Ontario. That is where he began his long and dedicated career as a Bus Driver for Greyhound. He achieved a 15 Year Safety Award and was always concerned about his passengers well being. With his strong will 'old school' nature, you could always find a humorous side to his disposition. His passion for reading was evident with Louis Lamour books. He has read them all at least 3 or 4 times. The love for his grandchildren was the main reason he moved to Medicine Hat. He wanted to spend as much time as he could with his family. Barry enjoyed all sports. He was a dedicated hockey enthusiast and #1 fan for the Toronto Maple Leaf's. Barry will be forever missed by his two sons Stephen and Scott, and their mother Linda Andress; granddaughters, Ashley & Jenna and their mother Line Vanier; grandsons, Kyle & Riley as well as his two brothers. Barry was predeceased by his father, Jack Campbell. A celebration of Barry's life will take place at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel, 901 - 13th Street S.W., on Friday, May 22, 2009 at 11:00 A.M., with Life Celebrant Gerry Getz officiating. Interment will take place at a later date in Sudbury, Ontario. If friends so desire, memorial tributes in Barry's name may be made directly to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Alberta, #124, 430 - 6th Avenue S.E., Medicine Hat, Alberta, T1A 2S8.
