1918 - 2006

Mrs. Frieda Biffart, beloved wife of the late Mr. Ruben Biffart, passed away at the Sunnyview Care Centre on Tuesday, July 11, 2006, at the age of 88 years. Frieda's memory will be cherished in the hearts of her two children, Richard (Sharon) Biffart and Judy (Orville) Yanke, along with her five grandchildren and their families; Janine (Pete) Rommelaere and their children, Brayden and Breanne; Jarrod (Rochelle) Biffart; Tara (Adam Alvis) Yanke and Tara's children, James and Jordyn; Cherie (Hashim Amlani) Yanke; Devin (Kim) Yanke and their children, Corin and Paige. Frieda is also survived by one brother, Ben (Anne) Schneider; two sisters, Pauline (Park) Walper and Tina Hubbs as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by six brothers and four sisters. Frieda was born at Fox Valley, Saskatchewan on Wednesday, April 17, 1918. As a young girl, her family moved into the Woodrow, SK. district. Here she grew into a young lady and married Ruben Biffart in 1938. Together, they farmed until 1964, when they retired to Medicine Hat. She was active in church work, enjoyed gardening, cooking and baking. Her family were treated to many great meals. They called her the "SHUF-NOODLE and KUCHEN QUEEN". She had a caring, loving spirit and will be greatly missed. The family extends special thanks to both staffs at Chinook Village and Sunnyview Care Centre for their loving and compassionate care. Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate memories of Frieda at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel, 901 - 13 Street S.W., Medicine Hat on Thursday July 13, 2006, between 7:00 P.M. - 9:00 P.M. The Funeral Service will be held at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel on Friday, July 14, 2006, at 2:30 P.M. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery.
