Robert McGraw
1927 - 2008


Mr. Robert 'Bob' McGraw of Suffield, beloved husband of the late Mrs. Shirley McGraw, passed away on Monday, December 1, 2008, at the age of 81 years. Bob's memory will be cherished by his children, Robert George, Dorena, Barry, Michael (Patti); two grandchildren, Bryan and Brandon; one sister, Agnes Davies; a sister-in-law, Laura Dahl as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Bob was predeceased by his wife, Shirley; son, Leslie; mother, Viola and father, Robert; three sisters, Vida, Violet and Laurel and a brother, Andrew. Bob was born in Whitewood, Saskatchewan where he was also raised and received his schooling. He was a longtime resident of Suffield and was an active member of the Suffield Community Hall as well as the Seniors Club. He was employed at the Water Treatment Plant for number of years and was proud to receive 100% on his Water Treatment Plant exam. In 1982 he retired with the distinction of outstanding service. Bob enjoyed the likes of hockey, curling, baseball and loved the company of his dogs when he had them. He shared many milestones in his life, but one that was most memorable, was the celebration of his 80th birthday. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel, 901 - 13th Street S.W., on Friday, December 5, 2008 from 10:00 a.m. to 10:55 a.m. The Celebration of Bob's life will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Barrett Scheske officiating. Interment will take place at Hillside Cemetery.
