1954 - 2012
Your pain is over Wop - rest in peace. Heaven now has a drummer with a wicked sense of humor.
Until we meet again - We love you.
With heavy hearts the family sadly announces the loss of their beloved Guido (Guy) Albert D’Amico who passed away suddenly at home on Monday, February 20, 2012 at the age of 57 years. Guido was born on March 1, 1954 in Nordegg. He spent his childhood in Calgary and later in Eckville, Alberta. Guido was a big hearted man who had a passion for music and was a stellar drummer. He also played guitar and told us many funny tales about this period of his life. Guido is survived by his soul mate of 25 years, Bonnie; step-daughter, Lorenda (Richard) Kerrison and by the three loves of his life, grandsons, Tanner, Travis and Conner. He is also survived by brothers-in-law, Dale, Richard (Barb), Greg, Darren (Carrie) Prefontaine; sister-in-law, Paulette Fuhr, as well as brothers, James, Wayne and Gavin D’Amico and sister, Marion (Robert) Heck, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. We would like to also mention Wayne Weidman, Guy’s childhood best buddy - thanks Weedy for remaining a true friend. He loved you! A special niece, Darla whom he loved like a daughter. He was predeceased by his parents, Guido and Frankie D’Amico; brother, George D’Amico; sisters-in-law, Liz and Bonnie D’Amico and Charlene Ward. Guido’s life will be silently celebrated by the family. If friends so desire, memorial tributes in Guido’s name may be made directly to the SPCA, 55 Southwest Drive S.W., Medicine Hat, Alberta T1A 8E8.
