Cook Southland Funeral Chapel - Lindsay(2025) "Sue"

Susan Lynne Lindsay passed away on Thursday, March 13th, 2025, at the age of 62 years. Sue was a bright light in the lives of everyone who knew her—vibrant, funny, and refreshingly down-to-earth. She had a way of making people feel at ease, turning even the most ordinary moments into something special with her quick wit and warm heart. Whether she was sharing a laugh, lending a hand, or simply being her authentic self, Sue left a lasting impact on those around her.

To her mother, Sue was a loving daughter; her sister, a protector; her brother, an amazing practical joker, and above all, a caring wife. Sue’s love and support were felt by all who were fortunate enough to know her in these roles, and she brought joy and comfort to her family in countless ways.

Though Sue is gone, her spirit lives on in the countless memories and smiles she leaves behind. She will be dearly missed by both the Oliphant and Lindsay families.

A celebration of Sue’s life will be held at a later date.

I can remember Sue, with her long legs and knobby knees when we were kids growing up. We lived less than a block away. Even though we went to different schools, we connected many times over the years.
I was lucky to get to know Sue over the years when we worked together at Madd Hatters/ Alamo. Sue still had the long legs!
We lost touch as our lives evolved, but each time we ran into each other Sue's captivating smile and generous spirit reminded me of the good times playing kick the can, cheering at games for our respective school teams, meeting up at parties, and laughing and commiserating over a shot at the end of a long work night.
During both good and bad times, Sue's twinkling eyes and her bright smile were a welcome sight.
My condolences to Nyles and to Sue's loved ones.

Sue was our cousin and our families spend a lot of time together when we were growing up. She was my cool older cousin(barely older but much cooler). My sister bowled with Sue, we spent time at their Elkwater cabin, and the three of us ran around the streets in the dark together when our parents were visiting. I most remember lying in the back yard at night waiting for bats to fly over head so we could scream and I remember Sue and Moira sneaking off at Christmas dinner in search of the Baby Duck Wine. We did not see as much of each other as adults but when we connected Sue was funny, curious and so empathetic when talking about the residents she worked with at the nursing home. Her laugh was second to none. The world was a kinder, softer place with Sue in it.
