Darren James Becker spent his final days in the ICU of the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital before passing away on Sunday, June 30, 2024, with family by his side. Darren leaves behind his loving mother, Linda Becker and his brother, Leroy Becker (wife, Neilly and their two sons, Haidyn and Qwyn). He also leaves behind his two daughters, Jordyn Geldreich (husband, Ben and their daughter, Lennon and son, Jagger) and his youngest daughter, Brooklynn Becker. He was predeceased by his father, Roy James Becker in 2020. Darren was born at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital on April 8, 1976, to Roy and Linda Becker. He found his calling early in life with livestock and spent the majority of his career with South Island Feeders. When not working, Darren enjoyed golfing with family and friends, Special gratitude and thanks is extended to the Bow Island Health Care team and the Medicine Hat Hospital’s ICU division for their attention, care, emotional support, kindness and professionalism toward the Becker family. Darren’s life will be honoured and his memory cherished without the proceedings of a formal service.
