Obituary - Wayne Friesen

Wayne Garry Friesen passed away in the Sunnyview Care Centre at South Country Village in Medicine Hat on Friday, January 6, 2023, at the age of 70 years. Wayne is survived by his son, Thomas; siblings, Wendy (Vern) Hrenyk, Rae Kunze (Hank Tessier) and Larry Friesen; nieces and nephews, Jody, Kristy, Amy, Cindy, Christine, Chartotte, Carolynne, Kelly, Karla, Megan and Jacob. He was predeceased by his parents as well as one brother, Brian. Wayne was born to Abram and Ruth Friesen in Winnipeg, Manitoba on November 16, 1952. He travelled extensively throughout his life, finding work as a commercial artist each place he went. He eventually settled in Medicine Hat where failing health required his eventual move in the Sunnyview Care Centre at South Country Village. Wayne’s life will be remembered privately by the family in the coming days.
