Sandra Diana Painter
April 5, 1957 ~ December 14, 2022
It is with profound sadness that the family of Sandra Painter announce her sudden passing on Wednesday, December 14, 2022, at the tender age of 65 years. Sandra’s memory will live on in the hearts of her loving husband and best friend, Howard Painter; children, David (Kari) Painter, Mark Painter and Becky (Brad) McKelvey as well as her grandchildren, Jordan (Angie), Brooklynne, Owen, Jailyn and Connor. She will be forever remembered and loved by her sisters, Lenora (Ken) Duchscherer, Sheryl Robertson and Janice (Harvey) Hoffner; sister-in-law, Ann (Tom) Cunningham as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Sandra was predeceased by her mother and father, Howard and Frieda Jeske; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Lee and Mae Painter as well as a brother-in-law Don Robertson.
Sandra spent her formative years attending school in Medicine Hat and graduated from Medicine Hat High School. Her work spanned over several years in the food industry. She then transitioned and spent several years dedicated to the residents of Chinook Village before retiring to enjoy time traveling on many vacations and spending time with friends and family over the last several years.
Sandra was always up to spending time with friends and family, whether it be in a campground or a simple walk around town. She enjoyed actively cheering on her grandchildren on any sports team that they were part of. She spent many hours enjoying the time in her yard gardening as well as time spent working on her crafts.
Sandra touched the lives of everyone she met. She had many close friends that she treasured dearly and will be missed by all.
In lieu of flowers, those who wish to remember Sandra may do so through a donation to a charity of your choice.
The Funeral Service celebrating Sandra’s life will be held at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, December 21, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Murray Jaster Officiating. Private Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery. Sandra’s Chapel Celebration will be live streamed.
