Glenn Jeffrey Person passed away at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital after a tough battle with leukemia on Friday, December 9, 2022, at the age of 70 years. He was predeceased by his parents, Cecil and Florence. Glenn is survived by his wife of 47 years, Terry (nee Gillespie) along with his sons, Reid (Maarit) and Brett (Heather) and grandchildren, Linus, Markus and Elowen. He is also survived by brother, Tim (Lisa); brother-in-law, Kurt (Kim); special aunt, Betty and Terry’s aunt, Margaret. Glenn grad-uated from Carpentry School and worked within the trades moving up to Foreman and Project Manager prior to starting his own business in 1991. He guided his environmental remediation and construction company for 15 years prior to retiring in pursuit of his passions for restoring classic cars. In his later years, Glenn spent his free time breathing new life into these cars and racing some of them on the NHRA circuit. He created many Class Champions and record holders as he toured and proudly showed his cars. Even as the grim news of his cancer was presented, Glenn maintained his humor and kept everyone's spirits up with a quick quip or a joke. Glenn enjoyed his winters in Arizona and taking up golf later in life. He made many new snowbird friends over the years. Glenn will be sadly missed by all his family, friends and neighbors. He really appreciated the support and care from the nurses and doctors at the Margery E. Yuill Cancer Centre which made his journey a bit easier. At this time, Glenn’s life will be silently remembered with no formal services at this time.

Sorry to hear that Glenn passed away. Too young to go. He was a great guy who was swift with answers on all subjects. Clarity was his character. Will miss him.

So sorry to hear of Glenn’s passing, Terry and family. He will always be remembered by our family as a man with a quick wit and gentle soul. Will never forget when he showed up at my sister Marlyce’s and Gerry’s house with his man ponytail cap on……to their chagrin, which was a big laugh for a long time. That was him. A charmer and hilarious at times. Feel sorry for the grandchildren who will miss so much of their lives with this sweet man. Glenn, Rest In Peace, and know that you have made a difference in this life. Marjorie and Steffen Gross
