I am sorry to hear of Fred's passing. He was one of my favourite people at Chinook. He was a funny guy, and his smile brightened my day. Rest In Peace, my friend xo

I am very sorry to hear of Dr. Hulmes passing. I was a student of Dr. Hulmes in PolS 320 at the U of A in 1976. I recall that his class was very interesting; that he spoke often of growing up in Medicine Hat; that he shared many interesting anecdotes of his experiences while working in Ottawa and, I learned a lot from him about Canadian politics and government. I remember the textbook that Dr. Hulmes chose to use for the course: The Canadian Political System (Van Loon and Whittington). It has been a wonderful reference for me over the years and continues to sit on my bookshelf. Rest in Peace Dr. Hulmes.
