Anthony ‘Tony’ Brown, beloved husband of Brenda, passed away at St. Joseph’s Home - Carmel Hospice in Medicine Hat on Thursday, October 22, 2020, at the age of 75 years. Along with Brenda, his loving wife of 44 years, Tony will be lovingly remembered by his sons, Paul (Karen) and David; daughters, Susan and Lisa (Tyrel) and grandchildren, Van and Georgia. He is also survived by six brothers, James, Christie, Paul, Noel, Lawrence and Liam; four sisters, Kathleen, Pam, Margaret and Angela as well as numerous nieces and nephews for whom he was and will remain, “The Legendary Uncle Tony.” He was predeceased by his parents, James and Kathleen Brown and brother, Thomas. Tony was born in Dublin, Ireland on December 23, 1944, immigrated to Canada in 1968 and eventually settled in Medicine Hat where he especially enjoyed the hot summers. Tony worked as a pipe fitter and a house painter. He will be fondly remembered for his years delighting audiences and fellow cast and crew as a cherished member of the Medicine Hat Community Theatre groups. Tony was the life of every party, entertaining friends and family with his musical talents, playing guitar and singing. A private family service will be held on Thursday, October 29, 2020, and friends are then welcome to join the family at Player’s Pub, 39 - 8 Street NW, Medicine Hat for a few drinks in Tony’s honour, beginning at 4:00 p.m.

    We are saddened to hear of Tony's passing. It was always a a joy to run into Tony and talk about all the good times we enjoyed during our past years in musical theatre productions. The obituary photo caught the true essence of the Tony we will always remember. Rest in peace Tony!

    TO THE BROWN FAMILY,

    We were so sorry to hear of Tony's passing. We shall always remember those wonderful camp outs at Blood Indian Lake and your family reunion at Elkwater, yes those were days my friends. Sorry we would have loved to meet at Players but will have a few suddseys in Tony's memory here at home.

    It’s been three years Tony, I can hardly believe it .. I fondly remember singing the old Irish rebel songs with you and playing guitar with you at your house down the road. Miss you man. Still drinking black bush ha.. always tell the joke you told me about that stuff .. thanks for all the memories tony. Wish I had been able to play for ya when you were in the home. Course wasn’t allowed though ya asked. Damn covid. Anyways. Here’s a drink to you me boy.
