It is with heavy hearts that the family of Juanita Wilma Desjarlais, beloved wife of the late Bob Desjarlais (2011) announce her peaceful passing while surrounded by family on Christmas Day, Wednesday, December 25, 2019, at the age of 82 years. Juanita was born on July 2, 1937 in Bowell, Alberta. Throughout her life she resided in Medicine Hat and Redcliff where she was a very active member of both communities. Her dedicated involvement in numerous clubs and organizations earned her to be recognized as an award recipient for both Volunteer of the Year and Citizen of the Year. These were accomplishments she and her family were very proud of! Juanita loved cooking and caring for her family. She also loved Christmas and as the peaceful song Silent Night was being heard, she quietly passed away. Juanita will be remembered by her children, Michelle (Rick), Marcel (Rene), Simone (Norton), Falonne (Rolfe) and Cory; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two sisters, Leona and Fay; a sister-in-law, Velma as well as numerous nieces and nephews and extended family. Juanita will be silently remembered by her family and friends. Interment will take place in the Redcliff Cemetery at a later date.
