Obituary - Barrie Bowden

Barrie Bowden

1949 - 2019

Mr. Barrie Victor Bowden passed away at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital on Thursday, October 24, 2019, at the age of 70 years. Along with his wife and best friend of 50 years, Marcia, Barrie leaves to cherish his memory a daughter, Michelle (Martin) and their son, Max; a son, Richard (Lindsey) and his children, Johnathon, David and Anthony as well as their mother, Rhonda. He will also be remembered in the hearts of his numerous relatives back in the UK. Barrie, Marcia and their young family immigrated to Canada in 1976, and he has always considered Canada his home. He was a man of few words whose lasting memory will live on in the hearts of all those whose lives he touched. Barrie’s life will be honoured and his memory treasured without the proceedings of a formal funeral service.

I've only seen Barrie on his rare visits back to Wales but my memories of him in the 60's and 70's will always remain. Most notably his laugh when Barrie laughed everyone laughed and the world was a better place for him. Marcia and family Wendy and I send all our love.
