Lorraine Bertha Lydia Buckley, beloved wife of the late Richard Buckley, passed away at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital on Saturday, June 29, 2019, at the age of 80 years. Left to cherish her memory is her son, Paul Buckley; daughter-in-law, Andrea Buckley (nee Dickie); three grandchildren, Keanen, Ellen and Ava; siblings Bruce, Linda and Colin as well as numerous nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews. Lorraine was predeceased by her husband, Richard as well as two siblings, John and Margaret. After moving to Medicine Hat in 1980, Lorraine filled her life with being a childcare provider and the best mother and wife she could be. She was a member of several clubs in the city and attended St. Barnabas Anglican Church almost every Sunday morning. Although Lorraine faced several challenges with a physical disability, she put 100% in all that she did. Lorraine was famous for her baking powder biscuits, butter tarts and not having a grey hair on her head. She will be missed dearly. Lorraine’s family extends a heartfelt thank you to Julie Rogers and family, the Ganden family, Lorraine’s community of friends as well as Dr. Jerarj for their unwavering support through the years.
