Cook Southland Funeral Chapel - Cadrain(2017)
Mrs. Vera Cadrain passed away peacefully with her family by her side at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital on Tuesday, August 1, 2017, at the age of 84 years. Vera’s memory will live on in the hearts of her daughters, Sandra and Debra; grandchildren, Kalsie, Kris and Solomon and great-grandchildren, Emree, Sheldon and Narmeena. Also left to cherish Vera’s memory are her sisters, Margaret, Gladys, Tilly, Violet; brother, Maxi and their families; sister-in-law, Anna; brother-in-law, Howard as well as her ex-husband and good friend, Gerald. She was predeceased by her daughter, Brenda.  Vera loved watching “The Young and The Restless” and conversing with her sister Tilly about what was happening on the show. She also loved to puzzle with her 4th floor friends at Cypress View. Vera was a tenacious lady with an infectious sense of humour. She was loved by many and will be dearly missed. The family would like to thank the nursing staff on 4 West, ICU and Palliative Care along with Dr. Woodley for the wonderful care they provided to Vera in her final days. Vera’s life will be remembered without the proceedings of a formal funeral service.  Memorial donations in Vera’s name may be made directly to the SPCA, 55 Southwest Drive S.W., Medicine Hat, Alberta, T1A 8E8.
