Joyce Yamamoto passed away peacefully at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital on Tuesday, August 7, 2012, at the age of 67 years. She leaves to cherish her memory: mother, Mitsuye “Amy”; brother, Roy; sister-in-law, Eliza and nephew, Lawrence. Joyce was predeceased by her father, Shigeru “Sam”; sister, Doris and brother, Bob. A Private Service will be held.

I knew Joyce when she lived in Toronto and we exchanged notes after she moved home. She was a talented, kind and generous person who I respected very much. Joyce created a wonderful papier mache sculpture for me and I treasure it. Whenever I look at it, I will remember the sweet soul who graced this world. May you be comforted by wonderful memories and the support of friends and family.
