1921 - 2005

Mr. Henry Siewert was born on the Siewert Homestead 4 miles East of Mendham, SK., on November 25, 1921. He passed away at the Leader Hospital on Monday, June 27, 2005, at the age of 83 years after a courageous battle with cancer. On May 26, 1948, he married Betty Ruth Robbins and they began their lives together farming on the Robbins homestead. Henry and Betty built a home in Leader and moved to town in 1973 where he was still living at the time of his passing. They were blessed with four children, Faith Arlene born in 1949, G. Adrian born in 1950, Peggy Ann born in 1952 and Garth O'Dean born in 1953. Henry was predeceased by his loving wife Betty in 2003; his father, Rudolph in 1951 and mother, Bertha in 1965; three brothers, Fred, Jake and Alvin; two sisters, Helena and Elsie as well as twin infant granddaughters, Krystal and Kristie Gans in 1982. Henry is survived by his children; Faith Andersen and granddaughter Kim (Dave) Krease and grandson Todd (Melanie) Andersen, great-granddaughters, Bryanna and Rayanne Andersen; Adrian (Wanda) Siewert, grandson Sheldon (Karen) Siewert and great-grandchildren Jordan and Abriel Siewert; grandson Sheridan Siewert (Pauline Twidale) and great-granddaughter Jaelyn Siewert; granddaughter Salli Siewert, grandson Stacy (Marika) Siewert and great-grandsons Zachary and Jaedon Siewert; Peggy Gans (Bruce Cooke), granddaughter Bobbi-Lynn Gans (Josif Ursu), grandson Brad Gans (Emily Wilson), granddaughter Brendene Gans (Dave Braden); Garth (Audrey) Siewert, grandson Ashley (Colette Klein) Siewert, great-granddaughter Lexis Siewert and grandson Gareth Siewert. The Funeral Service will be held at the Leader United Church on Thursday, June 30, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Michael Webster officiating. Private Interment will follow at Saamis Prairie View Cemetery.
