Sandra-Marie Williamson

1963 - 2004

Sandy Williamson, loving wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend passed away on Friday, November 12, 2004, at the age of 41, after a hard fought, courageous battle with cancer. Sandy leaves to cherish her memory her very devoted husband Jim; two sons, Chris and Pat as well as her parents, Alex and Katherine Lerner; two sisters, Diane (Wayne) Gutfriend, Linda (Elden) Roth; nieces and nephews, Jennifer (Mike) McBride and their daughters Bayleigh and Abigail; Stephanie, Melissa, Matthew and Katelin; in-laws Dorothy (Don) Lust, Barb (Larry) LePain, Rob Lust; Clyde (Marlene) Williamson; sister-in-law, Mary Ann (Darcy) Tollin; nieces and nephews, Amanda, Cameron, and Crystal and her daughter Breanna, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Sandy was born in Brooks, Alberta, on February 25, 1963. She married Jim Williamson on April 17, 1982. Together Jim and Sandy were able to explore much of Europe through Jim's employment with the Canadian Armed Forces. Sandy was very involved in her boy's school in Ralston, and eventually was hired as a Teacher Assistant at the Ralston School. Her artistic abilities were appreciated both at school and at home and she will always be remembered for this. She loved to garden, paint, camp and visits with her many friends and family. Those wishing to pay their respects did so at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel, 901 - 13 Street S.W., Medicine Hat on Monday, November 15, 2004, between 6:00 P.M. and 8:00 P.M. The Funeral Service will be held at Fifth Avenue Memorial United Church, 476 - 4 Street S.E., Medicine Hat, today, Tuesday, November 16, 2004, at 2:00 P.M. with Reverend Leroy Angle officiating and interment to follow at Hillside Cemetery. If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made to the Medicine Hat Cancer Centre, 666 - 5 Street S.W., Medicine Hat, Alberta, T1A 4H6.
