It’s with saddened hearts, the family of Victoria “Vicki” Delores Brown, announce her passing while at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital, surrounded by her family on Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at the age of 65 years. Vicki was born on April 16, 1945 in Leader, Saskatchewan. She attended school in Maple Creek before moving to Medicine Hat for further adventures. In 1964, she married Steve
Brown, the father of her daughters. They lived in different locations around southern Alberta before eventually settling in Medicine Hat. This is where her interest in hairdressing led to a very successful business, “The Beauty Nook”. Her son Cole was born to her and Chico in 1986. She is loved and survived by her daughters, Sandy (Arnold) Van Beveren and Lynn Brown; son, Cole Glauser (girlfriend Cheryl-Lynn); grandchildren, Brian, Michelle, Demara, Dakota, Davin and last, but not least, her first great-granddaughter, Krystalynn. Hermemory will also be cherished by four sisters, two brothers as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Vicki will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. She was predeceased by her parents; two brothers and one sister. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at CookSouthland Funeral Chapel, 901 - 13th Street S.W., Medicine Hat on Monday, March 21, 2011 between 12 noon and 12:55 p.m. A Celebration of Vicki’s life will immediately follow at 1:00 p.m. with Life Celebrant Gerry Getz officiating. Interment will take place at a later date. If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to the Canadian Cancer Society, 102 Crestwood Square One, 1865 Dunmore Road, S.E., Medicine Hat, Alberta T1A 1Z8.
