Obituary - Garry Akerstorm

Garry was born in Daysland, AB. on September 4, 1940, and passed away while in the care of his Alfred Egan Home family in Bow Island on Sunday, May 9, 2010, at the age of 69 years. Garry is survived by six brothers and five sisters: Fred (Reita) of Rosalind, AB., Jack (Shirley) of Medicine Hat, AB., Bill of Medicine Hat, Barry of Rosalind, Bruce of Rosalind, Dan (Carol) of Barrhead, AB., Arlene Chisholm of Port Alberni, BC., Shirley (Martin) Halseth of Consort, AB., Sharron Szott of Camrose, AB., Carol Berg of Camrose, AB. and Linda (Gord) Hamilton of Edmonton, AB. Garry will be missed by all of his many nieces and nephews; the Youngstown Home and the Alfred Egan Home in Bow Island as well as all his many friends and care givers who looked after him for many years. Garry was predeceased by his father, Gunnard in 1980; mother, Violet Dosselman (Akerstrom) in 2006; stepfather, Henry Dosselman in 1997 as well as two brothers, Terry Roberts (Aldon) in 1995 and Jim in 1966. A Graveside Service will be held at the Greenview Cemetery in Rosalind, Alberta on Saturday, June 5, 2010, at 2:00 p.m. with a luncheon to follow at the Rosalind Senior Centre.
